AltaLife RP Business RP Rules
These rules apply only to business RP jobs and approved business operations. Random civilian interactions or unorganized casual work do not fall under this section, but all normal server rules still apply.
Business RP should create jobs, services, records, customer interaction, money flow, and long-term character stories.
1. Business Standard
- Business RP applies to approved businesses, job whitelists, employee roles, management roles, and staff-recognized operations.
- Businesses must provide real roleplay, not only passive income.
- Owners and managers are responsible for employee behavior while on duty.
- Do not use a business only as a front for rule-breaking.
- Do not claim ownership, management, or employee status without approval or proper in-character access.
2. California Based Business RP
- San Andreas uses California law as the baseline for business roleplay.
- Employment, licensing, contracts, invoices, taxes, fraud, theft, and workplace misconduct should be roleplayed realistically.
- Illegal business activity can lead to police investigation, warrants, raids, fines, arrests, or closure.
- Staff and management may set stricter rules for specific business jobs.
3. Jobs and Employees
- Employees must roleplay their job duties properly.
- Do not clock in only for money with no roleplay.
- Do not abuse job tools, menus, vehicles, uniforms, storage, or permissions.
- Do not give free items, discounts, repairs, food, vehicles, or services to friends without business reason.
- Do not use business access to help your criminal character or another one of your characters.
- Do not transfer business items or money between your own characters.
4. Ownership and Management
- Owners must keep the business active.
- Managers must hire, train, discipline, and remove employees realistically.
- Do not sell, transfer, or give away a business without staff approval.
- Business leadership can be removed for inactivity, abuse, fraud, or poor RP quality.
5. Money and Economy
- Business income must come from real services or approved systems.
- Do not exploit billing, invoices, registers, stash access, society funds, job payouts, shops, or inventory.
- Do not overcharge without roleplay reason.
- Do not launder money through a legal business unless the RP is approved and staff allows it.
- Any economy exploit must be reported immediately.
6. Customer Roleplay
- Treat customers like part of the scene.
- Do not ignore customers while on duty.
- Do not use businesses as private hangout spots when customers need service.
- Do not start hostile scenes inside a business without valid roleplay reason.
- Do not bait customers into crime or conflict just to create charges or robberies.
7. Business Crime
- Robbing, extorting, or attacking a business requires strong roleplay build-up.
- Do not repeatedly rob the same business with no story.
- Do not camp businesses or legal job spots.
- Do not force business owners into impossible demands.
- Protection money, debt, threats, and hostile takeovers must stay realistic and fair.
8. Vehicles, Uniforms, and Tools
- Job vehicles are for job duties.
- Uniforms should be used while working or during approved business scenes.
- Do not use job vehicles or tools for personal crime unless specifically approved by staff and the scene makes sense.
- Do not steal from business storage or registers without valid RP and staff-approved systems.
Final Rule
Business RP is for organized job roleplay. If a business is only being used for money, free items, criminal shortcuts, or OOC friend benefits, staff may remove access or ownership.
